SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The HI-TRAC 90T high-speed traffic data collection system provides a low cost means of recording vehicle classification and axle load data without interruption to traffic flows. The HI-TRAC 90T is housed in a strong steel clam shell housing and is intended for temporary installation purposes.
The HI-TRAC 90T provides sensor interfaces for up to 4 piezo electric sensors and 8 induction loop sensors. The HI-TRAC 90T can be configured as a 2-lane weigh-in-motion system or a 4-lane loop counter classifier system. In addition combinations of loop and piezo sensors can be used dependant upon the application.
Incident detection and event monitoring functions can be incorporated however extended functions such as message sign activation; CCTV interface for text insertion and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) the HI-TRAC 100 system is recommended. The HI-TRAC 90T is accompanied by the HI-COMM 100 software package. HI-COMM 100 provides data retrieval via modem or laptop as well as data analysis facilities and system diagnostic functions.
