TDC AUSTRALIA

January 19, 2012

TDC Systems Limited is proud to announce the opening of the TDC Systems Pty Ltd office in Brisbane, Australia. The primary focus of the office will be to provide customer support for our existing customers in the Australasia region and seek new business opportunities. The office will also provide technical and development resources for new current and projects. Trading in Australia will continue through our Australian distributer, Trakblaze Pty Ltd.

TDC has a number of customers in the Australasia region. The high profile, West Gate Bridge, 8 lane weigh-in-motion project is managed by VicRoads, the Victoria’s highway department. This project has a number of design constraints, including installation of a weigh-in-motion system on the moving deck of a steel box girder cable-stayed bridge, and a metal plate bridge deck with asphalt depth of only 50mm. More than 160,000 vehicles use the bridge per day, including trucks weighing up to 68 tonnes.

The Roads and Traffic Authority (New South Wales Government), and Transport and Main Roads (Queensland Government) are also both significant customers in Australia. Current projects with RTA include upgrade of HI-TRAC 100+ to Ethernet, and demonstration of HI-TRAC BLUE.

The General Manager of TDC Systems Pty Ltd said, “I would like to thank all employees at TDC Systems Limited for their work and commitment, allowing us to expand to new horizons.”
